Fall Movie Night
The air is crisp and cooler! The perfect reason to host a movie night.
One of the most fun get togethers we ever had was a movie night. We put up a big white sheet on the outside of the house in the backyard. We invited friends and their children and had a cookout! The kids all sat on blankets and had pizza and popcorn while we were cooking and had a ball!
We borrowed a movie projector to show the movie on. After dinner you can always pick a classic such as "Gone with the Wind" for the adults to see or any old fun classic movie! Easy for you and so much fun! We wanted to show a fun storyboard to match the occasion. Happy Viewing Scarlet!!

Chocolate according to Wikipedia, "While chocolate is regularly eaten for pleasure, there are potential beneficial health effects of eating chocolate. Cocoa or dark chocolate benefits the circulatory system. Other beneficial effects suggested include anticancer, brain stimulator, cough preventor and antidiarrhoeal effects."
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS!! That's enough for me, let's eat!!

Monday Munchies - WATERMELON
Lately, I just can't get enough WATERMELON!
I have always like it, but the other night I actually ate almost
1/4 of a whole one by myself! Well at least it wasn't Oreos,
another thing I can eat alot of!! Maybe it is the coldness of it
this time of year or the high water content. It will quench your thirst.
But it was great!
Here are few great finds to quench your taste for this wonderful fruit!
WATERMELON AND SHRIMP SKEWERS
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
½ cup lime juice
1 cup olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons minced ginger
2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
24 large shrimp, cleaned and deveined
16 medium watermelon cubes
GET COOKIN’
Put the watermelon cubes in a colander over a bowl and place in the refrigerator to drain for 30 minutes. After the watermelon has drained, remove and pat dry with a paper towel.
In a bowl, combine the lime juice, olive oil, garlic, ginger, cilantro, and salt. Pour ½ the marinade over the shrimp, cover, and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Heat grill to medium-high.
Toss the watermelon with the remaining marinate and begin to skewer the shrimp and the watermelon on to the skewers, alternating so that each skewer has 3 shrimp and 2 watermelon cubes. (Toss the shrimp marinade, but save the watermelon marinade.)
Place the skewers on the grill and grill for about 3 minutes each side.
Serve alongside the marinade that the watermelon was tossed in.
WATERMELON SHRIMP CEVICHE
Serves 6
INGREDIENTS
5 cups water2 pounds shrimp, peeled with tails removed
1 cups orange juice
¾ cups lime juice
¼ cups olive oil
4 cloves garlic,
cups fresh cilantro leaves, plus 4 tablespoons (for garnish)
½ cup diced watermelon
½ cucumber, seeds removed and diced
½ red onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons salt
½-teaspoon coarse black pepper
GET COOKIN’
In a large pot, bring 5 cups of water to a boil. Add shrimp to boiling water and turn off heat. Let sit 3 minutes. Drain the water from the shrimp and rinse in cold water.
Coarsely chop the shrimp and place them in a large bowl. Add the orange juice, ½-cup lime juice, olive oil, and garlic. Mix well. Place 1 cup of cilantro leaves on top of the mixture, cover, and let sit overnight.
When ready to serve, drain the shrimp and remove the cilantro leaves, reserving ¼ cup of the liquid. Add the watermelon, cucumber, red onion, lemon juice, the remaining lime juice, reserved liquid, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Coarsely chop the remaining cilantro and toss into salad.
